Interesting read! You could add to the scenario by assuming the '47 has a fighter escort, as was the case when the crew flew a mission over the South China Sea.

Interesting read. Go back to the very late 50's and
very early 60's and you might find some interesting
stuff – like air battles over the T'aiwan Straits,

ChiNat F-86's and F-100's versus Mig-15's…
