Hi Guys I am normally found posting in the WW2 section ( don't tell em I am posting on here! :) )and a complete utter novice/numpty when it comes to ACW . Well not quite my first foray into wargaming was using Aifix ACW soldiers and I used to be a ACW reenactor here in the UK Any way cut to the chase , I am tempted to purchase one of those Perrys ACW Battleboxes for crimbo and just wondering what you guys would recommend as regards rules for this set that are available in the UK. I already have Black Powder but until a supplement comes out for the ACW , I would imagine they would be quite bland. Whilst I am not pre judging the rules that come with the box, however they are described as "pick up and go rules" which suggests that they will be very basic. So in a nutshell I am looking for rules to go with this set that I can get readily in the UK . Thanks guys . |

Fire & Fury – best set of ACW rules ever – if you don't mind using a D10 and the anomalies that a 1 or a 10 sometime throw up. Caliver Books do a reprint of the original Brigade level rules and the later version Regimental F&F link Alan |

I already have Black Powder but until a supplement comes out for the ACW , I would imagine they would be quite bland. Not if you use the appropriate special rules. I find BP works fine for ACW. |

Depends on what you are looking to play. Toofatlardies have a Sharp Practice which would fit nicely into a large ACW skirmish game. You could pick up the pdf rules and the Terrible Sharp Sword ACW supplement for 16 GBP. David |

The box comes with a set of simple ACW rules to get you started. You can use them until you find something better, r stay with them. |

No your not too late for Guns at Gettysburg. This is one I will be looking at as I know from the Naps set up , the unit sizes will be also useable for Black Powder which is the route the club will go down if more members get interested . Thanks again guys |
