I would appreciate any pointers to figures suitable for a game I have devised. It uses foam mats to lay out a 'bug nest' a la Starship Troopers. I have looked for insects, sea creatures and aliens for suitable 'bugs' but no luck so far. The men should be a mix of armoured and unarmoure with heavy and light weapons. A tall order maybe but any pointers gratefully received. Up to now I am using card figures so the cost should not spiral out of control,,,,
Some fotos to get the idea. ..

I know that here in the US it's a great time to pick up plastic spiders, cockroaches, and other creepycrawlies because of the onset of Halloween. They are everywhere, including the cheap stores and the party stores. Don't know if this helps, but I thought that I'd throw it out there.

Yes! I like those. Some of those would make good demons for my 1/72 fantasy armies.

Scorpions.

They had man-sized ones back in the prehistoric period.
