Once more after months of trying to set a date for the game and a rush to paint figures, Saturday we finally played the battle of Magnesia.
10,000+ points using the Clash of Empires rules.

Thanks for the AAR. Glad the Seleucids carried the day – great to see 2 well painted armies on the table. The close ups of the Aventine Seleucids were well done – must ask where were the cataphracts? Loved the bit about Scipio getting hit by the scythed chariot debris! Garry |

Hey Mithridates,
the Cataphracts were still in the mail unfortunately so we went with Companions. The pikes are all Warlord plastics. |

Another COE game report… Hooray!. Seems there are more Clash of Empires gaming coming forward instead of the usual Hail Caesar, War & Conquest and the other single unit basing rules. Our COE group games average about 5k points per side, similar to the now de-funked WAB, which we stopped playing when WAB closed down. M aka WR |

It's been a while since we played Clash of Empires here, but we always had a nice game. (between 750pts and 4500pts) very good looking game you had!
I must paint more troops to make our games as large as yours.(time & planning needed…) |
