Once more after months of trying to set a date for the game and a rush to paint figures, Saturday we finally played the battle of Magnesia.
10,000+ points using the Clash of Empires rules.
A pics and a good write up Stelio's site.

Thanks for the AAR. Glad the Seleucids carried the day – great to see 2 well painted armies on the table. The close ups of the Aventine Seleucids were well done – must ask where were the cataphracts?

Loved the bit about Scipio getting hit by the scythed chariot debris!

Hey Mithridates,
the Cataphracts were still in the mail unfortunately so we went with Companions. The pikes are all Warlord plastics.

Another COE game report… Hooray!. Seems there are more Clash of Empires gaming coming forward instead of the usual Hail Caesar, War & Conquest and the other single unit basing rules. Our COE group games average about 5k points per side, similar to the now de-funked WAB, which we stopped playing when WAB closed down.

It's been a while since we played Clash of Empires here, but we always had a nice game. (between 750pts and 4500pts)

very good looking game you had!
I must paint more troops to make our games as large as yours.(time & planning needed…)
