Hello – just a note that for the next few days I'll be blogging each day about specific French officers that I have recently painted. First up is the Marquis de Rostaing: link The complete trio of individuals are below: [URL=http://s118.photobucket.com/user/GilesAllison/media/004_zpsvmiiuw8l.jpg.html]

Very nice – and I shall observe closely for ideas for French commanders for my Franco-Spanish AWI division. One brigade for Spain, three for France, 16 units of foot plus a couple of mounted units plus artillery and command. Now you're going to go make me research Galvan further, aren't you?! |

That's amazing, how you can get so much detail out of those sculpts. How I envy that talent. They look so FRENCH!! |

I'm just glad we could give the Frenchies a nice war so they could wear those pretty uniforms. |

Thanks for the kind comments, chaps. The second figure, Colonel Louis-Marc-Antoine de Noailles is now up on the blog: link |

My research suggests the French officers wore blue coats with red vests and breeches rather than white coats… |
