Best? I own almost all of them and my favorite russians are battlefield
battlefieldminiatures.co.uk
Probably the only one he didnt list.
shq are nice but small for 1/72
the pegasus plastic sets are nice.
if you want to use plastics as well I would go with battle models- previously fantassin. They are taller and so are elheim.

I agree with Simo. I have many mfgs but Battlefield are my favorite.

Don't forget Plastic Soldier Company. Probably a full 2/3 of my Soviets are PSC – cheap, easy to assemble, little to no flash, and fit in well with other ranges like Elhiem and Warmodelling.

Yes, someone here mentioned that recently, go very well with the venerable AB minis?

@genew49:

Thanks for the looong list of links. Just making the transition to 20mm after (too) many years of 15mm. Eyesight and knuckles are demanding the change. From what I have learned from this thread the last few weeks 20mm is a vast treasure of goodies!

PS – What is the distinction regarding PSC "Redbox"? TIA…

I would have to say the FAA ones are the best on the market, I have 3 RF infantry brigades, 2 are finished the other is still in undercoated or bare metal mode.

The Battlefield Stalingrad Defenders are lovely and mix well with FAA

Good packaging strategy, clear shelf recognition on "messy" shop shelves. evil grin

Thanks.
