Hello fellow wargamers! I am looking for a 28mm Sci fi tank or armoured vehicle to use with my 28mm WOTC Star Wars miniatures. Specificly something that could pass as a Rebel Tank/Armoured vehicle to fight those pesky Imperial walkers! Any ideas or are there any good sci fi tanks out there that could be used? Many thanks in advance! Jp |

This tank sk362 panzer spahwagen oskar available from Hobbylink Japan. It may be a bit small. hlj.com/product/WAVMK-42/Sci Another possibility would be the tank from the Terminator movies. link |

I misspoke in my last post. The Oskar might be a bit large though it seems similar to the Nutrocker which I have which works OK with 28mm. I forgot to list the Nutrocker which is cheaper and would work. auction If you don't have to have a tank there are several walkers in the SF3D series which you might consider. All the SF3D stuff is overpriced IMHO. Sorry Also, how about this walker? auction Two tanks from Scotia Grendel also come to mind link link |

Those Scotia Grendel tanks are from the VOID game, Syntha faction. I have quite a few, they would be good as "light" Rebel tanks as they are on the small side for even VOID at around 4in long and wide. One of the rules options in VOID is for the tanks have the ability to transport 10 Assault Terantosynths; if you've seen the Syntha Terantosynths, even by *their* rules they can fold themselves up to be compact, but no way you'd fit ten in that thing. It goes with the whole, "the model is representative, not to actual scale with the other models," type of visual logic. |

Thanks Alien & Mardaddy! The VOID/scotia grendel option seems like the way to go. I like the design and the price seems reasanoble. |

JP, you could always try kitbashing your own Rebel AFVs in keeping with the spirit of the first three Star Wars movies. A dead computer mouse can make an excellent repulsor lift tank destroyer:
I'm assuming you want a grav vehicle ala the Trade Federation tank or the Clone Speeder Tank. Hope this helps! Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net |

There are also lots of pieces in old printers, keyboards, etc, that can be used for terrain. See the photo on the pod racing page at runtus.org where I destroyed an old printer to make piles of junk, and used the keys of an old keyboard to make block walls. |

If you want to go "Old School", the separatist droid tank here is the perfect size for the WOTC figures. I've got 3 I use. link |
