Some missing lines from the Epic of Gilgamesh were located in Iraq. They seem to deal with describing the cedar forest and how loud and colorful it was.

Most wonderful news, the epic is the precursor to the Talmud, The Old Testament and all that come after. Perhaps after the stain that blights the area has be bleached out a renaissance of Middle East learning will blossom, I fervently hope this comes to be.
