Good list. Would be great to go, but too many other priorities this year |
capncarp | 11 Oct 2015 6:31 p.m. PST |
Nearly 60 by my count. Have to start cashing in my aluminum cans and investing in junk bonds so's I'll have enough cash by the event! |

Nice job, Rouges1. You too, Dan. Let me be the first to point out what I'm sure others have already noticed: Over 60 vendors (and counting) for Fall In (including those mentioned by DM and Rafm3IC) vs. 50 for Historicon (including Costco). Draw your own conclusions. |
dbf1676 | 28 Oct 2015 8:43 a.m. PST |
According to the Convention Director's report, there were 61 vendors at H-con. 2450 attendees. |

Over 60 vendors (and counting) for Fall In (including those mentioned by DM and Rafm3IC) vs. 50 for Historicon (including Costco) Seriously, why bother? My take on the whole thing – Let HCon stay where it is. If you don't like it there in VA, do what I do – don't go. There is NJCon and The Weekend if you want a nice summer convention. |
Bowman | 29 Oct 2015 9:44 a.m. PST |
If you don't like it there in VA, do what I do – don't go. Or go anyway. My biggest complaint with Virginia is that it is too far from Canada. Can't you Americans do something about that? |

Or go anyway. ;-) Different strokes for different folks… |

Personally, if bringing up Canada, I would love to see a great convention in Toronto or Montreal that I could go to while giving the wife a fantastic place to visit. |

Bowman: <My biggest complaint with Virginia is that it is too far from Canada. Can't you Americans do something about that?> We tried that in the 60s and 70s by trying to get Lake Erie to solidify, but all we accomplished was to get it to catch fire a few times and to populate it with 3-eyed carp. Sorry, maybe all this fracking in Central Pennsylvania will cause a local tectonic sub-plate subsidence, reducing the distance between Canada and Virginia. Pity about the massive destruction and loss of life that would transpire, but, hey, anything to improve the gaming experience at Historicon, right? |

Personally, if bringing up Canada, I would love to see a great convention in Toronto or Montreal that I could go to while giving the wife a fantastic place to visit. There is a great show held in October each year called Council Fires and it is located only 45 minutes from Toronto. It would be perfect for you and your wife. councilfiresinfo.wix.com/councilfires2015 |
Bowman | 31 Oct 2015 7:31 a.m. PST |
Isn't Council Fires moving to Brantford? Downtown Toronto to Brantford in 45 minutes? Only if the Council Fires shuttle is a Ferrari. |

Hey Bowman… If you are bringing me those cans of Tim's I'll see what I can do… Eric

Rogues1 | 04 Nov 2015 9:18 a.m. PST |
Disco, Sorry about that. In my Excelapalooza spreadsheet for the convention I had them listed in the key for the vendor hall map twice – and no Eric they are not flying or riding table to table shipmate! One other note, I was just contacted by Recreational Conflict that they have medical problems and will not be able to attend. Hope to see many of you there this weekend, Dan M. the CD is already there making it happen. |
