Quite right too – stealing a yard is one thing, but he's way out of his crease – unacceptable behaviour….

In memory of my father, an avid cricketeer and early organizer of modern day cricket in USA, seems a must have for the tabletop. Not sure if the left batsman could be called for "SBW" vs. LBW…. (shield before wicket vs. leg before wicket).

Side note on American cricket. Scroll down to the USCA links.

Just a note. Cricket has been played in the USA since the early 1800's. 1844 was the first organized international match between Canada and USA. Long before baseball, american football and basketball entered American sports culture.

Actually,
There are references to a cricket type game being played by the American Army in the 1770s.
(Apparently the British brought the game back to England.)
