Does anyone knows if the Robert Hall uniforms plates depicting the troops at those battles come with some text explaining the unit history and uniform, or isn't there any text to go along with the plates? |

I have a lot of them. There is little accompanying text. His books (on CD) though have lots of text. He has volumes on the French (separate volumes on cav and inf) and on the Dutch with a lot of additional info. |

Does he have any text on the bavarian Uniforms, or only plates? |

Only plates for the Bavarians as yet. The plates were intended as a stand alone to illustrate units present at each battle – so some units eg French will figure in both the plates series and the relevant CD/volume. I understand that ultimately there will be a Bavarian volume and it may cover the whole Bavarian Circle and not just the electorate. When that will be I have no idea. |

The Pike & Shot Society prints these as a lovely series in paperback, the discounts make the membership fee worthwhile link |

I have the Bavarian plates (as single items in a folder) and they are excellent just as painting guides, showing all kit for men and horses, flags, etc. There is no text in terms of the regimental history, unfortunately, but it seems as though that is about to be remedied. If the forthcoming tome includes the plates, then it might be worth holding off, but the plates on their own have been a worthwhile expense for me. |
