More likely 15th and some in the 16th century as they do not wear the Solak version of the Janissary head-gear.
The painting of each group in uniform colours should not be taken as evidence.
I have compiled a list of contemporary illustrations of Ottoman Janissaries from the 15th to 19th centuries

Yes, except for the Solak ortas which retained bows for their duties of guarding/escorting the Sultan.
