" The United States Navy is set to dispatch warships to disputed waters in the South China Sea, where the Chinese government has been building artificial islands. Pentagon bosses are due to send out the battleships within days to pass within a 12-nautical mile zone around a chain of islands which China says belong to it. Is this for real? It's the Daily Mail online so you will excuse my doubts. Obviously – no battleships will be involved but I'd like to know when to expect the USN. After all – I can see the South China Sea from my house…. |

Surprised they haven't been doing that all along. Better not send in the LCS, since it might be knocked out, or boarded and captured, since it is so inadequately armed. That'd be rather embarrassing. |

Yea, so was knocking our recon bird out of the sky, while it was flying in international airspace, a little more than a decade ago, with a Soviet-style Taran Attack (what's the Chinese term for that?) but nothing was done to them at the time. Thanks, Armand!
