Hundvig Fezian is not a real big fan of pre-painted minis, and he positively despises randomly-packed "collectable" ones - so why is he writing this article?

Just found my VSF submarines. They were in a box of display figs so I dug them out to take a few photos. The smallest (The Minnow) is 100mm x 50mm. The medium size (The Eel) is 120 x 75mm, and the largest in this picture is the Shark measuring 150 x 80mm. Painted by the Evil Bob's Studio team.

I'm using them in my 15mm Martian Empires games. This paint job is actually an "army" paint scheme. The "navy" paint scheme looks like this:

Anyway, here are the pics:

ScaleCreep picked up the old Flagship! line, but I'm not seeing any in the store. Still has the logo, mind you.

Mark may be trying to resurrect moulds; they're old enough.

With luck, he'll pop up and comment.

Last I saw, my two(?) were still sitting unpainted, and that after a friend borrowed 'em. Wait, no, I think he finally did get them in livery.

Some of my favorite old Flagship Games models. I still have my Shark (Top one in the second photo) and it is painted but has not seen a game in a long time. At some point I am going to get back to that VSF on Venus project where I think the subs will once again be the secret weapon defending the interests of an empire. thumbs up

And shameless plug here I believe Mark also has the molds for the Kraken and Sea Dragon I sculpted for Flagship Games many moons ago. I actually would like to redo both of those models as my sculpting skills are much improved since that time.

That would be kewl!

Fun beasts, though I agree could stand updating. Did you also do the 'Ictheasuar'?
