OK, so our news crew are in country and are off to the casters this week.

Next up on the drawing board for release hopefully by the end of Q3 are a set of 28mm 1980s US Infantry. Planning a full rifle squad with platoon elements (HQ, M60, Dragon, etc). plumping for mid decade so there will be a choice of helmet and saw gunner.

always happy to take input, especially from any of the old and the bold who have first hand experience? feel free to PM or blog comment if you prefer.

So our latest pic of what is in the works:

Nice! Something to oppose the Soviets I have. Any plans for Bundeswehr?

I think Under Fire Miniatures is covering Eat and West Germans. I have some of their East Germans and they are nice.

We'll do some Warsaw Pact troops I'd guess, I'm looking at options for who now.

(I quite fancy some Southern Flank what ifs, and maybe some Cold War Gone A Bit Chilly with the Northern Flank.)

I would like to see Poles, they had a fairly large army, and had Airborne troops and Marines. I could imagine a fight between the Sovs and Poles during a Cold War gone game, or even how the war started because the Poles and Soviets started to slug it out.

Will you be doing M203 gunners as well?

Mike Bravo Miniatures08 Oct 2015 7:51 a.m. PST

oops, yes those too. Basically anything needed to make a sensible platoon.

I started service in 1990, so can really just speak to the latter part of the period, but maybe add the first aid pouch to the LBE on the left shoulder? M17 protective mask carrier as well, riding low on the left side too. You may have them on there and I am just missing them on the pictures.

They look great!

thanks, I'll mention to Anton as I know he was planning to add those, so will remind him if he hasn't.

Now if you wanted you wanted to get really pedantic, you'd have the earplug case on the left lapel button hole (depending on the Brigade / Division commander's directive) but somehow I doubt that would hold true in combat.

Now if I could just get someone to model an AN/TRC 170V3 troposcatter radio system with associated 10Kw generators, I could wargame my military experience…

Well, crap. Got all excited and then headed over to the web site only to discover they are 28mm….

Mike Bravo Miniatures10 Oct 2015 1:46 a.m. PST

Thanks Jozis, that's just the level of pedantry I like. I'll pass the message along and get a few figures with the earplug case.

Sorry EC, I realised too late that the title didn't have the size in :-/
