It's been a while since the last update of new postings on the Solo Wargamers Association Lone Warrior Blog – so it's a bumper crop !

The new sample article from Lone Warrior magazine is Jonathan Aird's "DBV – Adventures in Ancient Skirmishing" PDF link where he tries hard to resist tinkering with the rules…then gives in and does just that!

Paul Le Long reviews MAA449 Armies of the War of the Triple Alliance PDF link , which is a very game-able war !

Rich Barbuto offers a review of Bombs Away, by Harry Tutrledovehttp://lonewarriorswa.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Bombs-Away-book.pdf which gets high marks both as a novel and as inspiration for modern "what-if?" scenarios.

Rob Morgan follows up an earlier Osprey review with a good look at MAA399 Medieval Scandinavian Armies (2) 1300-1500 PDF link , another good and inspirational title.

Jonathan Aird returns with a quick look at Osprey Weapon 8 AK-47 PDF link which has a surprisingly high rate of useful material!

Godfrey Bailey offers a full game review of Braddocks Defeat PDF link then adds solo rules PDF link and then provides all the extra chits PDF link !

Paul Le Long has to report that MAA 500 Armies of Castile and Aragon 1370-1516 PDF link is not as good as it could have been – with too much covered in too little space.

Add in various directions to "useful web sites" and current bargains on offer and there's plenty of reading at the Lone Warrior Blog. Enjoy!

Excellent! I will make sure to link some of the stuff to the 19th Century Wargaming and Warfare Facebook group
