Don't be that guy who reads the glowing reports after the show and wishes he had been there. Barrage, run by the HAWKs, is in upper Maryland just off I-95. Reports from previous Barrages have been universally positive. See the website for a listing of events and other details: link Barrage features a wide variety of events, dealers, flea market tables, and on-site food at a reasonable price. The weather is going to be cold this weekend. Come to Barrage to play games all day and stay out of the cold. Family friendly! Games for kids! Armies for Kids giveaway event for younger gamers. What's not to like? Don't be THAT guy. |

I'll be there with a couple of friends who haven't attended before. Great time last time I was there. |

Given that Barrage is north of the DC-VA area, it qualifies for the list of conventions that "Cranky Yankees" would enjoy in place of Historicon. If you are driving from the Northeast, Barrage has many of the same great GMs and games as Historicon, without the DC area traffic. I also see that they have worked out a deal with several of the NJCON GMs to come down I-95 to host some games. Let's hope this turns into a regular event, both ways, like the old Big East-ACC Challenge in college basketball. Enjoy the games. |
