"During the Russian Defense Ministry's Innovation Day fair which has take place the 5 and 6 October 2015 near Moscow, Russian defense industry has unveiled a new unmanned ground vehicle based on the BMP-3 tracked armoured infantry fighting vehicle, the UDAR. The results of the research activities of the Russian Defense Ministry in 2015 were presented at the Innovation Day which took place on Monday and Tuesday at the ministry's exhibition center in Kubinka (near Moscow) and also in Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok, the ministry's press service reported. The "UDAR", unmmaned fighting vehicle was presented in Moscow during a live demonstration to show the operational capabilities of this new vehicle…"

… BMP – maybe change the P (infantry) to T (Arnie type Terminators). It is interesting-the Armata vehicles are likewise targeted for automation. A networked unit of all automated or some automated is certainly feasible … what will be the Western and Chinese response? And why the small calibre gun? Weight won't be a major consideration so ramp it up to at least 40mm |

The Western response will be to wait until the unmanned vehicles break down and then stonk the logs units while they try to fix the UGVs. Probably the Chinese response, too. As for the 30mm gun, that's what everything else is carrying. Logistics strikes again. |

Or hit them with EW, maybe from smaller tactical drones that are just powerful enough to disrupt the C2 signals for a few minutes. More than enough to affect the tactical situation and destroy an economically disproportionate amount of hardware. |
