GW has high, dark and wood elves. Mantic has a range of elves. Westwind has a range of elves. Thunderbolt Mountain has a limited range of elves. GW for now has LOTR/Hobbit elves. Are there any other companies that produce classic elves for wargaming? Reaper's line is too limited to do an army. Thanks for any help. (An aside….the Hobbit wood elves would have been perfect, except they didn't do plastics. 8 dollars a figure is prohibitive). |

Ral Partha/Ironwind Metals has an extensive range. RAFM do some. I believe Mirliton sells the old Grenadier range. |

I'm a big fan of Ghost Miniatures (Old Glory). Don't forget your Army Card! |

Sergeant Major has the old Vendel range to add to the mix sgmm.biz/Elves_c_67.html Gamezone have Elves & Dark Elves link I love the Thunderbolt range but my favourites for Wargaming are probably the aforementioned Mirliton (ex-grenadier) figures, simpler to paint link |

I second the Sgt. Major's miniatures, very nice and they fit in with most 28mm manufacturers. |

The Tekumel project (? Not sure if thats correct) had some warriors that I recently stumbled upon in a blog that could be used as rank and file elves very easily. I dont own any but was considering getting some (if they even make them anymore) for an elf regiment or group. Someone else here probably has more info on the matter. |

Reaper has their Bones line – roughly $2.50 USD apiece. Many of them were ported over from their "Warlord" game line. |

Black Tree Design. They run specials, so watch for them. The Scotia are the old LotR range from BTD. There is also the Mithril line of LotR elves, but pricey and more for skirmish. |

The Frothers Forum have some "Army Showcases" i.e. illustrated lists of figures suitable for various fantasy armies, including Wood Elves and Dark Elves (see link). |

If you want Elves which are smaller than Humans, in 28mm scale, like Gygax had, in 1st Ed. AD&D (4'-5' tall), I'd recommend Caesar's Elves, 1/72 scale. They can be delivered to your doorstep, for around $15 USD for a set of 35 figures, or $0.43 USD per figure… Here is a link with photo's -- scroll down the page a bit for the Elves. Shop for them on e-Bay, and the Internet, at large, for best prices. There are also the Light Alliance Elves, more like 28-30mm tall. These are also very affordable plastic figures, with sets selling for similar prices, for the same number of figures: 35 figure sets, for around $15 USD delivered, or $0.43 USD per figure. Dark Alliance Orc Warg Riders are quite nice, albeit 1/72 scale. I use these for Goblins, riding Wargs (not Wolves, but the Wargs can easily be painted as Wolves). They paint up decent, and they are exceptionally affordable. |
