Finally. Kids today, no ambition.

Not that I disagree with what got them the collar, but da rulez is da rulez.

Lone Star beers? Surely that's cruel and unusual punishment…?

Winston Smith03 Oct 2015 10:38 a.m. PST

Dom. It IS prison after all.

Punishment is one thing, torture quite another…. ;-)

Tango0103 Oct 2015 11:12 a.m. PST

I really don't get well the politic punishment here…

Legion 4 have wrote: "Well I hope I don't get DH'd for this. But a few years back, the US voted for "change"… looks like we have it. And it appears to me Mr. Putin knows it …"

And for that he is punished with 5 days!!???!!!??…

Please, can anybody explain me which is the sin here that deserves 5 days off???.

The punishments became from Bill or the Editors…??.

I'm not goint to point anyone… but you can read dozens of quotes much more "politic" that Legion 4 did … and without a single advice from the authorities… (smile)

Sorry… but it smell to me as persecution…

Political crimes are usually a three day sentence. Over the weekend it's five.

I must admit that The Editor is now punishing right wingers as much as lefties. Much to their shock and dismay.
I wish he would just stop punishing politics at all, since it has no effect. Bad boys gonna be bad boys. Besides what is Ultramodern but politics?

Earl of the North03 Oct 2015 1:01 p.m. PST

Politics is Verboten! wink

Of course what gets you punished on the Ultramodern board for politics seems to be pretty random with lots of people commenting and seemingly randomly the long arm of the law descends on one or two individuals.

Anthon03 Oct 2015 1:18 p.m. PST

No politics isn't an incredibly hard concept to master. People stopping themselves from belaboring thier opinions on everyone and everything seems to be. I'm not sure that in the history of the Internet, a person ever actually changed someone else's opinion on anything…Some people just don't get it. If you want to argue politics, there are places for it. It has been proven on numerous occasions that can't be done here without a Bleeped text storm spilling into other areas hijacking every thread. Our species just isn't there yet.

Anthon03 Oct 2015 2:27 p.m. PST

Perhaps there will be some Octoberfest of some brew…Do right wingers drink anything other than Coors? A Sam Adams maybe?

Winston Smith03 Oct 2015 3:08 p.m. PST

This right winger drinks either Yuengling Lager or Extra Gold lager.

COOR'S Light is good for giving my dog an enema.
Anything by Sam Adams is good, but produced by a company that encourages sodomy in St Patrick's cathedral. Don't believe me? Google it.

Mako1103 Oct 2015 3:23 p.m. PST

Military conflict is just an extension of politics, so they really do go together.

Pointing out the truth is a dangerous thing.

Some of us drink Beck's, a good, ole fashioned, American brewed bier, pretending to be a German import.

Zeelow03 Oct 2015 3:36 p.m. PST

Pabst Blue Ribbon, from the '50s and '60s for me.

Anthon03 Oct 2015 3:38 p.m. PST

I would google it, but frankly I'm a bit afraid of what my little old computer may catch… 😬 I'm gonna go ahead and take your word for it this time and grab a Leinenkugels….The pride of Chippewa Falls. Cheers!

Better to "suffer" for speaking your mind, wrong or right.

Ummm, actually, in this case, you are damned if you do. You can keep on posting if you don't. Too many wanna be martyrs on the internets, its easy.

Any Beer is better than No Beer.

Lee Brilleaux Fezian03 Oct 2015 6:35 p.m. PST

It's a website about playing games with toy soldiers. If you can't keep politics out of it, you really need to take one of those chill pills the kids used to talk about thirty years ago.

Politics & drinking…..
WB Yeats:
"A statesman is an easy man, he tells his lies by rote.

A journalist invents his lies, and rams them down your throat.

So stay at home and drink your beer and let the neighbors vote."

What the hell is "Needs a timeout"???

Just recently renewed my status as a supporting member.

I expect the rules to be enforced. Keep the political crap out of the forums.

Rarely drink beer. Jameson's is MUCH better…

jpattern204 Oct 2015 10:04 a.m. PST

Dark rum here.

Too many wanna be martyrs on the internets
No kidding. I miss the old days, when *someone else* had to declare you a martyr to your cause. Not like today, when anyone with a keyboard and a "point of view" who gets tossed for breaking the rules can claim to be a martyr and a victim.

Not to mention the fact that Eleanor Roosevelt was a tireless champion of women's rights, organized labor, veterans, the homeless, civil rights, and assorted other liberal, progressive humanitarian causes. I suspect she had more in mind with her quote than providing fodder for internet warriors.

Mako1104 Oct 2015 2:42 p.m. PST

Colt .45, perhaps?

Never had it, so suspect it is less tasty than some of the run of the mill alcoholic beverages, but it does have a catchy name.

Gunfreak Supporting Member of TMP04 Oct 2015 4:54 p.m. PST

Just don't take a sip of a real colt .45 or your wife will have an unpleasant suprise.

Then the unpleasant job of cleaning up your brains.
