All,

Here is the second part and finale of Batrep 6, fighting in the outskirts of Frankfurt-am Main. The quick refresher is this: the US right flank is crumbling, almost entirely gone, and the overall tactical commander, Captain Keepers (of Kilo Company), has gone down fighting. The US left flank, a Mech Infantry Platoon (under Lt Rownnan) and part of a tank platoon (under Lt Sorenson), is fending off attacks on its side, and preparing to counterattack to the right in order to kick the Soviets out of the objective buildings (there are five, and the winner is the one that has three, with the US down to two at this point).

The 2nd Mech Plt TOW opens up on Soviet BMPs near the central crossroads.

While, from the opposite perspective, BMPs launch Spandrels at US M1 Abrams. To see how the fight turned out, please check the blog at:

We'll see if you guys are really reading these; if so, there should be plenty of comments ;)

Whoa…it was smack-down time for NATO. Okay…you can still stop them, but don't allow them to cross the Main River!

I love those exhaust trails!

Awesome stuff. Read/ looked at all of your reports on this.
I've got 5Core Company Commander too, but never looked at it. So wondering if there's another book for weapons and such for games like this.

Wow… What a trouncing. Even in the loss they killed a ton of BMP's. I look forward to these reports anymore more than my actual games!

It was definitely a bad day for the BMPs.

Actually Kyote, you were rescued by a trio of American tourists who were trapped near Frankfurt and carried off to safety.

After finding out that you played the bass in your youth they asked you to join their band. So you kept your long beard and became the 4th member of ZZ Top!

Ben – Yeah man, it was rough. And I'm trying to keep them from crossing the river, you'll soon see how that's going.

Jeff – Thanks man, they're been wildly popular!

Kyote – Quit your whining.

Doug – Thanks man, and I highly recommend you take a look at 5CC, it's a blast. Having said that, Kyote's right, Ivan and I have worked on some modifications for Cold War, which will be put out when I'm done playtesting.

GeneralStoner – Wow, thanks man, I appreciate that, glad to hear folks like the batreps, makes it worth putting the time in to write all this up.

Coopman – Not bad enough man! It was a bad day for Kilo!

TGunner – I was thinking more along the lines of him eventually escaping and making his way to Scandinavia, becoming the newest member of Abba, or maybe A-Ha ;)

Speaking of Scandinavians, apparently Ivan isn't reading my stuff anymore. I know Tim (Ditto 2 3) never reads these, but I thought for sure Ivan would be compelled to say something. Or maybe I'm just not as funny as I think I am ;)

Jack

Grilled Danish eh :-)

I went down as I lived: Naked and of questionable sanity :)

And what a knock-down, drag-out fight, holy smokes.

Tgunner04 Oct 2015 7:06 a.m. PST

A-ha? That's really harsh Jack!

A weasel never announces its presence :)

You guys are killing me. But then again, I'm currently picturing a naked weasel humping Kyote's leg as he transitions back and forth from real-life to comic book ;)

Dude, your jeans are not that long, you're only 5' 4" (twice as tall as Panda).

;)
