Who makes Jews in 28mm? Cassock, long beard, broad rim hat. (Maybe the yarmulke is more common?) I want them for Napoleonic era though by that description they could be used for a few centuries all over the world.

I can get a dozen priests, any number of Catholic monks, but no Jews.

Irregular Miniatures has Jewish priests but they are in robes for the Ancients era

There are a few figs you would modify like the Orthodox priests from the Old Glory Cossack Wars line but they would need a fair bit of conversion (no pun intended)

I read that small carved wooden figures of Jews in Orthdox dress are popular today in Poland:

It looks like they vary in size. You might be able to find some suitable through Polish craft outlets.

I had thought this would be easy, but then civilians are rarely modelled, unless they are armed! I had thought the various ranges from Peninsula (esp Perrys Carlist forces) would do…..but no. Civilians from their ACW range are all chucking stones, but would really only do for Topol figure (there is one who is the image of him)

I assume you are looking for someone in a long coat, with a broad brimmed hat, a seen in most contemporary (and anti Semitic) illustrated accounts ? I'll keep hunting.

I love this kind of challenge…….

Could you adapt a Reboubt Jesuit?

How clever is that? drop the crucifix mind!

The one with the beard looks promising. A shawl made out of Kleenex painted with thinned white glue and you're ready to roll.

You might be able to adapt some C18 civilians -- the Hasidim in NYC sometimes wear knee breeches, as in the picture below. The sable hats might be a little tricky. Didn't Amazon use to make armed Hasidim?

Now that's what I call a pillbox hat on those frum Hasdi boys :) add some hard core automatic weapons and you've got a Guy Richie movie of note.
Flash look at converting some plastic body's, example use the Victrix Imperial Guard Chasseurs box for long coats, scrape away x belts etc. Cut the bear skin shorter add green stuff beard and I think you would have something quite close.
Cheers hope this helps:)

You could use the Cossacks or Bulgarians from Outpost's Russo-Turkish War or the Cossacks from Askari by deleting their weapons. They would look closer to the costume of the time period.
