I have the impression that the Germans moved their tanks by train, and drove them from de-training areas to the front. However, was any kind of transport vehicle used as well? |

i know Tiger IIs were uniquely difficult to get on a train car. |

Western Europe is pretty well-served by rails, so I suspect that there weren't any "Drakon Vagons"… |

I've only ever seen pics of a pz3 being put on a truck trailer. |

Due to the loading gauge, the wider tanks were fitted with narrower tracks for transport. |

The Germans did have some tank transporters, but I'm not aware of any big enough for a Tiger II. The Allies were somewhat better off in that regard, but as they'd bombed all the railways to bits, they needed them. |

A Tiger II trailer that could do a max speed of 6mph – useful; and I believe no evidence of field use? Hence the appalling breakdown figures. |
