Thanks guys all comments are very much appreciated John T, I don't think even I could mess these guys up. They really smashing little figures Joes Shop, thank you also for your kind words TIG, don't worry I still have some ACW stuff on the table and one is a vivandiere ready to be painted I just need to decide on a colour scheme, any advice would be warmly recieved. Schogun, the starting colour for the uniform is khaki grey layered up to iraqui sand, the tutorial is nearly half way there so I hopefully i should be posting it soon. So as always thanks guys, all comments are more than welcome! Good or bad its all the same. I'm no expert I will be the first to admit it, my rule of thumb is if it looks right its good enough for me. Don't get me wrong I do research stuff but I'm not a button counter, I do what I do for enjoyment and to escape every day life and its troubles. What better place then TMP is there! So keep looking and I will keep posting Cheers for now Russ |

Tiger Rifle Vivs looked just like the guys except the pants were black. Jacket, shirt, sash, are the same. The skirt is the same material as the mens pants. Black leather for the pistol belt, and brass trim on the sword. For union Vivs the 114th Pa. is a good one. All navy blue with red trim. They had a red stripe towards the bottom of the skirt, with just a small amount of blue showing beneath it. Those two would be the two most famous Vivs of the war. French Mary and Lavinia Williams. Lesson over. Have a good one. TIG |

Really super work! Sorry I missed all the WIP posts. Is there a particular painting guide that you used or did you just work them up yourself? |

Thanks TIG I've got a couple of commissions to do but first chance I get I will crack on. I'm not sure about being 100% accurate but I think she will look the part once painted. Thanks again for the help and advice. SeattleGamer, thank you also they are a pleasure to paint. Jeigheff, I am rather proud of them. Thanks Robby, I must admit the detail is all there just waiting for the brush! I can't take to much credit! but thank you for the compliment Nick Con Cover, I have done a bit of research and its a combination of it all. I have now posted the tutorial under Desert Rat Tutorial in WW2 painting guides take a look if you get a chance. Thanks guys, all your comments are very much appreciated. TMP is a big part of my life, and as being for a number of years and I'm not really sure what I would do without it, or you guys! Cheers for now Russ |
