We have five club members currently in the middle of a 12-turn Blucher campaign, using a modified version of the Scharnhorst campaign system provided in the main rules. We have free-ranging map movement, hidden columns, historically-accurate OOBs, and random weather (rain is already hampering the maneuver of both armies). We're playing the 1809 Danube campaign in mid-April and are currently about halfway through. I'm doing quick blog posts after each turn, summarizing the map movements and battle reports. Swing by and check out the opening three days of maneuver! Much more to come….

Hi

I have just sent you an e mail as i am interested in your mods to Scharnhorst. I would be grateful if you could see your way to send me a copy of the mods for use by my own group.

Happy to share. We basically used the Scharnhorst system as presented in the Hundred Days supplement (available free online), and added a new wrinkle for recon. We allowed each army to create a few "vedette columns" that are only allowed to contain 1-3 light cav. brigades. The vedettes move faster and cannot be engaged in a battle, which makes them very evasive and good for scouting. They can still be overrun, of course, so they don't act as much of a roadblock. So far the campaign is working out very well. Expecting a major battle to break out shortly…

Looks to be well organised and thought out. Good luck to all!
