Hi all, I'm doing a major 28mm rebasing exercise and want to include tufts of various sizes and flowers on the bases. Prices and quality varies enormously, and the photos by the vendors are often poor quality. Can anyone recommend a supplier they are happy with please? And what is the best size? Are 4mm grass tufts too big for 28mm figures? I'd prefer a UK vendor. Thanks, |

I don't use tufts, instead I buy meadow grass sheets from Osborn's Models: link If you search on their site for Faller landscapes all sorts of useful things come up. The good thing about these sheets is that you can just tear off tufts of whatever sizes you need. This is how they look on my old but rebased Huscarls for Hastings:
Top-down view:
They do seem expensive at £12.00 GBP a pop, but in fact it works out a lot cheaper than pre-made tufts from wargames manufacturers. Those model railroad people are really good at stuff like this… |

MiniNatur Silflor sold by Mutineer miniatures are brilliant. I own so many packs I sometimes feel I've become as much a miniature gardener as wargamer! |

Great Escape do a huge range of grass mats, tufts, flowers etc and are well worth a look IMO. |
