I'm actually going to start this project now but I have a few questions.

1) Am I right the main Sherman variants used were the M4A2 and the M4A4?

2) Did any of these get armed with 76mm gun?

3) Are there any 15mm decals for this unit?

4) In terms of uniform, I know that they were mostly kitted out with American gear but would the officers have Kepis and would some of the men have the Andrian helmets?

Cheers in advance

Would the infantry of the division have the similar head gear?

One small detail re the 2e Division-Blindee was that they received roughly half of the total production run of M21 81mm Mortar Carriers, so all the mortar carriers in the division would be M21 rather than M4.

the infantry in the division was Tchad Regiment Infantry …
US helmets, officers and some NCO's in Kepi or sidecap
Kepi black blue with gold piping for officers, red piping for NCO, sidecap black blue with red piping … quite no adrian helmet

M10 crew used french sailor caps as head dress

the Recce elements ( M3A3 and M8 armoured cars ) used a red sidecap with black piping …

I don't think anyone does decals in 15mm – I started an attempt a while back, but ground to a halt trying to research enough detail to do proper units as it were. :-(

As for Shermans, M4A2 was most common, but they had all sorts, including a short issue of 105s, and later on a smattering of 76s. There are a couple of excellent websites out there on them – will see if I can find urls when I get home.

I might have a rummage and see how far I got next time the reprint pile's been tamed….

I have seen pics of mortar haltracks from a support company, Tchad Regiment, and they are clearly M4´s. The mortar points bakcwards.
