The 54e Regiment de Ligne could trace its heritage back to 1657 and a very famous French regiment in the old Royal army.
Its colonel, would be wounded at Talavera, and would lead the hard fought defence of Badajoz in 1812, whilst the regiment would be in action against the British right up to the final clash in 1815. If you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's link Jonathan |

I'm trying to think of a different compliment, but you're battalions are just the same every time – excellent. |

How do you make your gunsmoke? Cotton? They look great, it adds a whole new dimension to the figures. And it will hide any broken bayonets. |

Thanks guys, glad you like them. I think the advancing figure makes a nice change to the slope arms. The gun smoke is simple pillow stuffing material that holds a nice shape and can slip on and off the bayonet |

Jonathan, I use pillow stuffing as well. I managed to get a few bags of the stuff when we got a new sofa. Seems to work better than cotton wool. |
