Has any one on here played this scenario recently? Any scale though 20mm would be of most interest to me. Any thoughts on terrain, troops, stand-ins, game rules? Any pics? Battle reports? Any inspiration would be nice. |

I don't recall seeing any, but surely someone must be doing that. Seoul would reportedly be leveled by NK artillery in short order. I've read that the NKs have lots of underground tunnels under the border, from which they can pop out from. Some even mention tunnels large enough to permit their tanks to run in a column two abreast, under the border, which if true, would be a significant threat, not to mention an impressive engineering commitment. |

Yes that's right, the South Korean and US militaries have done absolutely nothing to investigate or otherwise listen out for these fantastic tunnels. They are also equipped with Light Rail apparently… |

Navy Fower wun Seven Are you suprised that civilians are suprised lol. Most dont know that technicaly a state of war has exsisted since 1953 between the NK and the UN..Even fewer know that for 38 years up until 1991 the US had Border security mission on the DMZ in Area 1. Or that there have been over 6000 Us and ROK casulties during that time,2000 Reported incidents and Proboly 2000 more unreported a year. Or that Agent Orange sprayed over there for the same reason as Viet Nam is Killing countless thousands of Veterans and their dependants…Yea theres alot about Korea people don't know… |

We published an interesting book in 2011 by Mike Ottenberg. It contains 12 notional, skirmish scenarios. If you click on the preview, you can view the entire book. link |

It can be done. El Chapo's mile long tunnel had "light rail", and a motorcycle too, for a quick getaway. |

A tunnel to deliver troops into enemy territory sound like strategic folly to me? Almost impossible to resupply any units deployed in such a way. It's simply airbourne troops without planes. A few guided munitions would seal those tunnels almost immediately. I suppose it could be used disrupt UN supplies to the front but I could not see the ploy surviving the first few hours of the conflict, and that is assuming that NK have managed to construct these massive construction projects unobserved by satellite? Which would seem unlikely to me, the spoil from such would be considerable and rather obvious. |

Seoul would reportedly be leveled by NK artillery in short order. Not true at all due to the terrain and the distance. Plus take a look at that video of Russia in Syria then take a look at some pictures of Seoul. I spent four years stationed in Korea while in the US Army and I have seen the terrain surrounding Seoul. In order for North Korea to take Seoul they would need to commit around 2-3 Million men. |
