i;ve read the book. imho, it does'nt come near the book, "the germans in normandy", by hargreaves. if you want a detailed, in depth look at the german army, ss, navy and air force in normandy, "the germans in normandy is the book to get. the book is great. i can't recommend it enough.
the book whirlwind reviews on the other hand…

Excellent book with lots of raw data on German unit holdings and numbers. Best work on actual German causlties in Normandy.

Recommended.
