The Ludendorff Bridge is one that crosses the Rhine at Remagen and was the subject of a fierce battle during the Second World War. This bridge is underway in 6 mm at Gamecraft.

You can get the towers from Leven Miniatures – but not sure if they will fit. |

A fine model. Please note that the original was a railroad bridge, so American vehicles had to cross on planks laid across the rails while the infantrymen had to cross using the narrow inspection walkways at the sides. To discourage foot traffic, the side railing were joined by a horizontal bar every 10 meters or so. My father (99th Inf Div)crossed that bridge under fire, and he said the hardest part was jumping over those cross bars with the Rhine far below. |
