So looking to do a full unit of Panther Ausf D or Tiger I (Early) for a Kursk Tank War game. Initially I had leaned towards Panthers to represent Bake's unit of 6th Pz Div using the Warlord Panther D but the price for three tanks was rather steep. So, now I'm considering Tigers of 503 SchwPz using the JTFM Tiger Early….but I've heard wildly differing views on their models, everything from their Tiger being the best on the market to their AFVs being fiddly and prone to breaking if unbased. I'm also rather leery, since as I understand it, JTFM casts for Company B and I've given up on their models after having problems with every one I've ordered.

Just looking for some general consensus or options that I haven't thought of from the community. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the JTFM Tiger I's and have had them for years with no problems at all with them. They are exceptional. And mine are not based. I just wish he would do the mid to late variants with zimmerit on them.

Personally, between the Rubicon and Warlord Panthers I'd go with the Warlord one every time – lovely detail and real easy to assemble.

Rubicon (and Warlord games) kits are available at NWS game store which I use a lot. The Rubicon Panthers & Tigers are only $22 USD & $24 USD

Thanks for mentioning my website Sigwald. :)

I will always carry the full line of Rubicon.

Take care friends.

If you're doing Kursk properly, you don't need a 'full unit' of Panthers….. ;)
