Now is the time to propose any simple changes you'd like to see for the TMP 4.0 version of the Manufacturers Directory. I'm not looking to make major changes at this time, but (for example) adding a new field would be simple. Probable Changes: * Facebook URL * Twitter URL * active (yes/no/unknown) * the Catalog field is obsolete Are fax numbers relevant any more? As a perk for our advertisers, we will be able to include a YouTube video on their company listing, if they have something suitable. |

I would think e mail contact info and what internet sources, facebook, twitter, etc… they list products on or can be contacted through would be good. |

We already list email contact info. (Only visible to logged in members, though.) |

Fax numbers might be relevant to some, who refuse to use e-mail. There are a few still kicking around, supposedly – Navwar being one, IIRC. |

If not "active" perhaps you could add the date, and for "unknown" a request for updated information. Would it be worth having a link so that users can send updated information? |

I think a physical, geographic location should be provided in the basic listing. I know many do have it now but some do not. That should be a basic requirement to have a listing in the directory. Jim |

Bill, please organize the directory like the old one….by type of product. An alphabetical listing is absolutely worthless when I am trying to find 10mm figure manufacturers for example. In th eold days you had each company listed underneath the product category. That was SO MUCH BETTER and way more useful. Thanks |

Bill, please organize the directory like the old one….by type of product. I don't think we've ever had it organized that way… but I am open to ideas on how to make it easier to find who makes what. |

I think a physical, geographic location should be provided in the basic listing. I know many do have it now but some do not. That should be a basic requirement to have a listing in the directory. That would unfortunately cut out a number of active companies. It would probably be better just to have one of the editors make a pass through the database, and contact companies for their location information if not listed. |

For places that have a storefront, would it be possible to list open/close hours? |

Skedaddle, that is a good idea! |

How about a small shop for advertisers where they can post and sell a couple of there major minis. |
