Exactly 212 years ago… "Extracts from a Diary maintained by Nathan Lucas where he mentions HM ships that he saw during his travels in 1803 and 1811. Many thanks to Peter Covey-Crump who transcribed his 4 x great grandfather's diary ©. Peter notes that Nathan was a Fellow of the Linnean Society, and that his primary interests were Natural History and the management of the sugar, coffee and cotton plantations.
