I'm looking for any OOB for all Soviet forces in 1988. In the past I got the first four pages of "The Combat Composition of the Armed Forces Of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics 1988". Is there any more of this document. If not, does anyone have a more complete OOB. There was roughly 191 divisions in the Warsaw Pact OOB and I'm hoping to get more details on what units were where. |

There's a 1989 listing which is very comprehensive, for the end of the Cold War, on the Microarmor Mayhem website. One for NATO too. So, I suspect that's a very good starting point, at the very least. |

If you don't mind doing a lot digging and a lot of research the following site has a large OOB listing. Most division OOB's have locations down to regimental and battalion (for independent battalions) levels. It's apparently a work still in progress. ww2.dk/new/newindex.htm |

Gentlemen, thanks. I believe Microarmor Mayhem has the GSFG OOB, which gives me part of the Warsaw Pact structure. I will check out the other link as well. |

I forgot to add that at the site I mentioned above there is a section dealing with the Soviet readiness system and a list of the Soviet divisions, indicating what their status was – Full strength, reduced strength, low readiness, etc. The dates are the 1980's. link |
