From whom might one acquire 28mm size naval artillery that was mounted on wheeled carriages and used for land service during the period 1870 through 1900 or so? I'm referring to larger caliber pieces, not the small boat howitzers and such.

I have a need for some naval artillery to use in several scenarios I working on for next year but can't seem to find anything from the "usual suspects."

Thanks,

Jim

Minifig used to make a 4.7 inch gun on field carriage as used in the 2nd Boer War.They also made a pom-pom.

Check out Irregular, they have a huge range of artillery pieces.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Unfortunately the Irregular "Really Useful Guns" range is later than my time period, with most guns being post-1900.

But the Houston Guns range that Pat carries at TVAG does have a nice looking 3" piece that may work. And MiniFigs UK still has that 4.7" naval gun, but no picture.

The Minifig 4.7 gun is big with steel wheels. It's a nice looking gun, you will need 40 oxen to pull it.
