For folks interested in this period of history, or simply in the F & F game system, here is our event for Fall In. And by the way, the game is already half signed up, tho we always try to accommodate walk-ups as much as we can. Schlacht Bei Tratenau, 1866 The first major battle of the 7 Weeks War was a costly Austrian victory over the Prussians on 27 June at Tratenau. The upcoming Age of Valor rules, based on Fire & Fury, recreates this slug-fest in all its glory, alongside Krupps, needle guns and Austrian bayonet charges. Fun – not winning – is key, so thick skinned players only. Rules: Age of Valor – Age of Rifles European Fire & Fury Players: 6 – 8 Length: 5 hours Day and Time: Saturday, 9:00 am Location: Strassbourg Room Warmest regards, /// Colonel Bill /// Wilbur E Gray Colonel, US Army (Ret) wwwe.ageofeagles.com |

Obviously cancer, sepsis and a bunch of other stuff for a year has put me a bit behind schedule, but the game at Fall In will be the scenario included in AOV for 1866 which means that chapter will be totally done. The Crimea, the RJW and a few others are done as well. Since AOE II is complete and will be released at FI, I hope to have AOV done by Christmas, or as shortly thereafter as I can. I'd really like to get these two projects done and retire. The Military never really retire, I've retired twice now and am still eligible for deployment. Imagine Blucher's surprise when Napoleon came back in 1815 … he thought he'd retired in 1814 aged 70 something. Is there a German word for "merde"? |
