Mantic have posted their latest Kickstarter. This one is for not one but two sets of rules fro 28mm sci-fi gaming: mass battle and cinematic skirmish. Included are plastic sets of Enforcers (armored humans), Forge Fathers (not squats) and Veer-myn (space ratmen), so far.

Check it out:

Due to the shambles of the Kings of War 2nd Edition Kickstarter (I'm still waiting for my products), I'll be passing.

Maddaz11121 Sep 2015 7:52 a.m. PST

I am not going to pledge,

honest,

ooh,

shiny,

oh crap..

pledged.

(took about 6 seconds)

- I am still waiting for lots of things on kickstarter, But mantic have always sorted things out eventually..

Yeah I have no doubts about Mantic's fulfillment. I did Deadzone and although some things got pushed back i got every piece I was promised.

Nuns with Guns Fan, where are you located? I am in the US and got my Kings of War stuff last week. Also what did you order – I got some ogre berserkers, goblin war machines, and an ogre shaman, all metal and all very nice sculpts. I haven't been keeping up with their updates but maybe they are shipping some things out earlier than others?

I will also add that I thought the quality of these models was superior to their first KoW KS, a lot of the Basilean models were pretty average.

I as well got my Kings of War stuff about two weeks ago.

Went for Dwarves and Undead so that finishes off those two armies.

I order alot of stuff.

Did the same with Dungeon Saga though that was more Undead.

That one I am still waiting for.

Not sure yet what I will do with this one.

Very tempting. Mantic is wise to cover the races GW ignored (i.e., squats and space skaven).

Plus more than likely the game will be far better than GW's Warhammer 40K.

I didn't have any problems either way back during the 1st Deadzone KS. Maybe the stuff was a little late (not sure anymore) but being late is almost given with crowdfunding. Not much I'd want from this project however, tho I'm a bit tempted by the Accuser even if I don't need it really. I might pledge the minimum $1 USD as it looks like that would get me a PDF rulebook -- pretty decent offer there.

I backed every Mantic KS starting with Deadzone and onwards. There's always hiccups, but they do deliver and the deals can't be beat. We're talking $1 USD or less per hard plastic mini.
