Hi everyone;
Our club just started playing Muskets and Tomahawks for the French and Indian War, but as I typically do, my mind wanders to using the rules to game actions from other periods, like between Spanish Conquistadors and Mayan or Aztec Indians.
Has anyone tried that yet, or for those of you who know the rules, what do you think, how would they play.

I and another guy have used them for King Phillip's war. You have to tinker with things since, for instance, you cannot have a line of muskets bristling with bayonets before bayonets. You have to tinker with the stats a little here and there to get the balance you are looking for.

Don't see why they wouldn't work with a bit of tinkering. I rather fancied doing the Maori wars or Cape Frontier Wars with them myself and I know they have been used by others for the 1812 retreat from Moscow. I have also flirted with the idea of Prussians and Teutonic Knights too.

Thanks;
Talking to one of my M&T buddies at the store tonight and he thought it would work well, with some tweaks, like you said.
Spanish are on the way as we speak from Eureka USA.
Aztecs will be next.

I had the same question. Thanks for asking. I'll have to tinker.

I think it allows for a lot of tinkering. I'm looking st the Jacobite rebellions.

I see no reason why not, they work fine for ACW

They'd work well for pirates (you'd need to add some rules for ship combat and boarding).

They will easily translate for brazilwood war in 16th century
