Can anyone recommend suitable 15mm figures for the King's Lifeguard (cavalry) and Parliamentarian Lobsters? Thanks. |

Hi Robert I think the first thing is to decide which size/style of figure works for you and fits in with your current figures. See madaxeman's guide here link Then, Lobsters – anything in 3/4 armour (might be worth looking at 30 years war ranges as well as ECW) King's Lifeguard – matter of choice a to whether you prefer them in 3/4 armour or conventional harquebusier gear, or a mix. Nobody noted which they wore at the time, but the Lifeguard certainly contained plenty of individuals rich enough to bring their own cuirassier gear if they felt it sufficiently fashionable. |

I'm looking for figures that are compatible with my 15mm Essex figures. |

Well I used Essex REN 67 for my Lobsters with the appropriate Command pack. I would mix in some REN 50 and or 51 if doing the lifeguards. Really IMHO opinion any Essex Cuirassier figure from their ECW/30YW range will do (except the lance armed pack. If you want a change from Essex than Minifigs have suitable figures that match Essex in size. |

Certsainly by 1643 the Kings Lifeguard were Harquebusiers- there is evidence that Harwquebsier equipment was issued to them. Most of the rich blokes from 1642 had gone of- either to raise their own regiments or to do other jobs- so agree with Timbo here – no royalist curassier untis Parlaimet had 4 though 3 were only troop sixed. and hazelrigs lobsters only lasted one campaign |
