Alas, not since Asgard Miniatures was a thing waaaay back when and the two companies had a reciprocal agreement… <sigh> would that such indies today were so inclinded… Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net |

<sigh> would that such indies today were so inclinded… I give maximum props to those who do! ScaleCreep's offering of Brigade Models on this side of the briny is one of the few recently, and to make a simple process complicated, I asked for a recent order that I get my spaceships (in stock) to wait delivery on aeronefs (special order). I know it's conceptually a bookkeeping nightmare. Mark came through SPLENDIDLY! Many a small producer is in such a state of constantly running to fill current orders that dividing attention long enough to get something like that going feels like straw/camel's-back time. In my example, far as I know, Tony's still got a day job. As I said, maximum props! And, some have been 'burnt' trying before, you know. Doug |

Doug, indeed I do, having been engaged in the industry for going on four decades now. That said, the reciprocal agreement I was referring to is between manufacturers who exchange the rights to produce and sell their respective wares in their domestic markets. So John had agreed with Asgard that each would produce and sell the other's miniatures and models in their respective home countries, and IIRC what killed the deal was the death of Asgard(!!) just as John was running the first figures out of the moulds and offering them in his catalogue(!!). I still have my small Trimote platoon from that agreement so long ago in fact, and seeing that I'm gearing up again to see if I can get some actual playtesting n on our new sci-fi skirmish system, perhaps I should dig 'em up for old time's sake… Leland R. Well, if the Nemo Diver sets were included I probably would bite the bullet and buy something taller than 18mm. Consider that a commitment – if I can get 15% off the Nemo Diver 1&2 sets I will order them from John at Reviresco. |

That said, the reciprocal agreement I was referring to is between manufacturers who exchange the rights to produce and sell their respective wares in their domestic markets. Understood, as well. I know GZG ships masters to Eureka in OZ and used to to GeoHex here. Never heard Jon complain about the partnerships, but do know he whinges about having too thin a margin to offer to distributors, and too busy to work another deal for US buyers, to the whinging of many of my countrymen. ;->= Either case, it can entail a bit of a complex dance of trust, and, again, consider those successful to be 'better men than I.'
