Very nice – but quite expensive.

I'm not sure I'd want to use 1/285th models for air combat. Too big and too heavy? 1/600th seems better for the big formations.

But some will no doubt find a use for this nice looking model.

Yep, a beautiful looking model, but unaffordable for me.

A 1/285 B/17 fits in the palm of you hand.

I'm so waiting for Dave Winfree to put out the Raiden version, supposedly slated for August '15. It's gonna be cheaper for sure, and as detailed as the GHQ. More panel lines on the wings and elevators for sure.

Wow, very nice miniature, if a little spendy. All my aircraft miniatures are 1/285-1/300 and I probably have at least 100 painted planes. Five of them are Lancaster bombers--so even larger than a B-17. Not that many years ago our group hosted a Ploesti game with at least 16 B-24 Liberators in this scale. It's doable. Don't be afraid--just do it.

The last time the Blues Bears ran out Bon Fires there were six 1/300th Me 323 Gigants fourteen Ju 52 and 6 SM 82 plus up to twenty fighters on the board. However our schwienfurt game uses 1/600th B-17's, well there are 54 of them.
