The only one of the Blue Covers that is questionable for my gaming preferences is Broken Legions. I do have to admit, though, that my inner Completionist will make me buy them all. If only they hadn't actually numbered the books… Anyway, I won't end up playing most of these, but I enjoy reading rules for its own sake. The Osprey Blue covers are an inexpensive and interesting way to scratch that itch. I recently bought a box each of Victrix 54mm French and British Napoleonic lights so looking forward to OWG 18: Chosen Men. I don't know anything about Frostgrave. I haven't bought into that yet. |

Wasn't "En Garde" the name of a swahbuckling RPG back in the 80s? |

"En Garde!" from Game Designers Workshop, 1975. Designed by Darryl Hany and Frank Chadwick. "Being in the Main a Game of the Life and Times of a Gentleman Adventurer and his Several Companions." |

Yep, I own it…being the rules hoarder that I am… |
Glengarry5 | 16 Sep 2015 12:42 p.m. PST |
Apperently this "En Garde" is based on the combat system from "Ronin". |

Chosen Men – sounds promising. |

Will any of these be any more practical and playable than, say, 'On the Seven Seas'? |
Ney Ney | 17 Sep 2015 5:58 a.m. PST |
Billy fish that probably depends on whether they're written by that author. The blue books are written by many different people and I don't think they share any characteristics with one another. I take it On the seven seas is bad? |

I find the premise of Broken Legions intriguing, but will have to wait to see what the rules are like. |
The Beast Rampant | 17 Sep 2015 2:35 p.m. PST |
I own six Osprey Wargaming titles, and am quite happy with all but OTSS. |

Well Osprey also have OWG13 Dragon Rampant advertised – so I guess that list is hardly definitive |
