When do 10mm and 1:72/20mm get their own boards? |

I play in a 6mm Napoleonics club, have a bunch of photos from different games this year (all 1815 battles) that are backlogged. Here's pics from Novi from a few years ago: link And the Mad Padre was out in June for Take One of Ligny: link I'll post more AARs to this board once I get caught up on my blog. |

Why? Just because there was vote and did the voters have a specific agenda that could only be resolved with a new board? Was there issues with posting on the other boards? resistance or snarls? I have 6s and still do not get this new board creation. Napoleonics are Napoleonics … yes? 2 cents MG |

If members weren't posting pictures before, why would a new board change that? |

If members weren't posting pictures before, why would a new board change that? Experience tells us that it does. |

How long are pic postings on a new board sustained over the course of a year? And, of course, we go back to why? And why does not every other scale get its own board across all of the general boards? |

I game Napoleonics in 6mm using LaSalle (playing solo) for several reasons. Cost, space, ease of painting and frankly I like the look of the little guys on the table as they give a better impression of mass (at a distance as it were), but ironically enough, they don't photograph very well and just disappear in the photos. If Bill says that specific boards attract photos, so be it….. |

They photograph fine if you apply the right techniques with the right gear. Example:

Loads of great examples of how well they can be photographed here perfectsixps.proboards.com I use a phone and can get some amazing close up pictures without any special equipment, and I photograph a lot 6mm figures, Nice to see a dedicated board to "gods chosen scale" ducts and runs lol. Richard |

Easiest thing is that those haters who don't like 6mm just avoid the board, not rocket science and will leave the board for people who game and play 6mm. |

I believe 6mm Napoleonic's started in the late 60s and has grown by leap's and bounds since. A simple scan of the web and this forum will produce a flood of it for 2015 in celebration of 1815. There are some very large collections spread around the world. I have close to 30,000 in mine. It's a unique combination of scale and period. Very similar to micro armour that also started around the same time. Getting it's own board is long overdue. Bill should be applauded for setting it up. I tip my hat to you sir! |

The more people complain about the Board the more posts the Board gets and the longer it lasts Please keep on complaining |

Glen Pearce 30,000 6mm miniatures! Wow! And I thought I was doing well with 5,000 painted and a few thousand unpainted? Where do you keep them all? I'm always running out of space and containers? |
Glenn Pearce | 24 Sep 2015 8:21 a.m. PST |
Hello Gazzola! I actually have about 40,000 6mm painted and about 5,000 unpainted. I paint roughly 1,000 a year. They are all mounted on Polemos bases 60mm x 30mm and stored in see through plastic boxes from Plano, 14"L x 9.13"W x 1.38"H, model number 2-3701-00. Not sure if they still make this size or not, but it holds about 1,000 figures. They are all stored in a book shelf cabinet with the unpainted in a chest of drawers. Does not really take up a lot of space as everything is sized right. If you can still get them (USA/Canada) the Plano boxes are as if they were tailor made for 6mm. Best regards, Glenn |

Glenn Thanks for the info. Mine are all in plastic see through boxes in the clothes wardrobe my wife bought. The miniatures, along with buildings, forests and paints take up quite a bit of 'clothes' space. She was not amused but like I said, love me love my miniatures. LOL |

It is great to see a 6mm Napoleonic board has been created Mr Editor. On a more general note, thank you for all your hard work running this site. |
