"When Sean said "hey lets get together and play an Italy battle", I thought "great I all ready have a list!" I happily dusted off my mid-war Panzer-Grenadier army. The problem was, when Sean said Italy he meant Late War Italy… Doh!! So, I took my mid-war list and made it a late war. The only real changes were the Nebs got heavier and PzIIIs became PzIVs…"

if someone came to our club and lined tanks up like those shermans and hellcats, well,… You'd drop lots of artillery on them? |

(1) that terrain layout could just as easily be a terraformed human colony world and (2) I wouldn't hesitate to use it as such. Further, just drop a kaiju or some Martian tripods on the table, and you've got an instant Weird War II game on your hands, easy-peasy (and you'll be glad you have all those panzers, Shermans, and Hellcats lined up, because you're going to lose most of 'em trying to bring down those damned Martian war machines!)… Leland R. Great looking table. The Sherman 105s? Meh. They're essentially dug in so if they want to try the enemy artillery then let them. But those Hellcats deploying glued from side-to-side like that & moving around the table in the same formation? That's just comical. I'd have to come up with a house rule requiring a minimum of 1" spacing just to prevent the tanks from bumping in to one another when moving. |
