nice painting,
is the figure on the right really that big?

Gunner Dunbar15 Sep 2015 4:51 a.m. PST

Strange, he looks a lot bigger in the pic, in person he is bigger but fits in nicely, the good thing about ABs is they are all sculpted to different heights, it adds a lot of realism.

He looks like a 28mm in with the 15s

He's the officer. He's supposed to be larger than life to offer a better target. grin (says a retired Army officer)

Very nice work there.

Scale creep within the same range and army – shame.

ABs are normally very nice, but that officer rather lets the side down for me. Sorry

Gunner Dunbar16 Sep 2015 5:34 a.m. PST

He honestly fits in OK, I think it's really a couple of factors,
1) he is next to the drummers, which are the smallest of the lot
2) he has an officers helmet, which has a larger crest
3) he is obviously a big man
Humans aren't all the same size, I think AB have cleverly duplicated this, whilst keeping all the gear, helmets, packs, webbing, and muskets all uniformly sized, why you would dismiss the best figures on the market in this scale for this reason is beyond me.

Nice paint, but in 1813 Wurtemberg troops have shako, not helmet?

Will be good to see the officer next to a musketeer for comparison
