Ffolkes, I don't have a smart phone and while I have numerous tablets, I would really like to listen to my iTunes Podcasts (Car Talk/Wait Wait, Don't tell me) and other iTune podcast offerings on a plain old regular Mp3 player. I DO have an Ipod Shuffle, can I transfer these podcasts to it? Can I transfer them to "generic" Mp3 players. and finally… I thought Dear Editor (ALLEGEDLY no connection to the North Korean Royal Family) , was looking into a Podcast forum for those of us who are interested. Any news? Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

Don't know what format iTunes podcasts are in. depending on format, there is likely a lock out in trying to transferring the files to other non-apple devices, if they have a website there might be DL links for podcasts. They might be stored in mp3 format not sure how stored on a PC or Mac, you might just be able to copy the mp3s from itunes folder on PC to mp3 player. Did come across iskysoft imedia converter deluxe that said it converted itunes podcasts but use at own risk. --------------------------- Had a look at Car Talk podcast website: link Wait Wait, Don't tell me : link These podcasts are in mp3 format, so could download from the website onto a PC & there copy to mp3 player. |

I think you can copy them. I get some podcasts from the producers sites instead of through itunes. I download them then import it into itunes. I think you can then put them on a shuffle. There should be a way to just copy/paste them. I had to do that with an audible book that was going on a regular flashdrive to play. (I've got an ipod classic so I'm not up on the shuffle) This might help: link |

If you go to each podcast website you can down load each episode in MP3 format and save directly into your MP3 player. That's how I listen to all my podcasts. |

Thanks…very odd, because I used to be able to snag the Mp3's and then, one day, I was redirected through iTunes. I'll Czech it out. |

Damn…how did iTunes get involved. Honestly, all the Podcasts are there and I am filling in the gaps…Sheesh. Wondering how I missed it. shrug |
