A number of people expressed an interest in the modifications we made to the GdB rules for a Revolutionary Wars game so I have now added our house rules to the AAR and included an OOB.

You can find them at link

Enjoy!

Excellent great period – like your rules amendments.

Broglie14 Sep 2015 8:05 a.m. PST

I don't use GdB rules but I like the thinking behind your amendments.

Could I suggest the inclusion of a People's Representative who are political officers who can overrule the French Commander from time to time. It introduces an interesting extra factor in the French side and remember that not all People's Representatives were necessarily amateurs. I have read that some of them made better decisions than the commanders.

Just a suggestion.

Hi Broglie – thanks for the idea. Sounds like a bit of fun :-)

Thanks for the amendments. These look fun as does the representatives idea

By the way, which figures did you use for the Dutch troops?

Fried Flintstone17 Sep 2015 8:04 a.m. PST

Gary used Old Glory SYW Prussian musketeers for the Dutch.

Some people have suggested using Battle Honors Rev Wars Russians, but he felt too many of those have knee boots, baggy breeches and folded over jackets which wouldn't look right.

Great looking game – very nice armies and terrain
