Does anyone know what headgear the 10, 15 and 18 and 1 KGL hussars had in the 1813-1814 period? IIRC, the tall, cumbersome muff hats were replaced for a while by shakos. Can anyone confirm or comment? I was thinking of enlisting the AB Netherlands hussar figures as British late Peninsula hussars. |

Yes, of course, you're right! OTOH, I find the very large, high shakos on the British figures less attractive than the more familiar, lower shakos the DB's are wearing. |
