Looking for scenery for my 10mm Schleswig War armies. I would probably prefer 6mm buildings for this, but I'm not certain who makes suitable Danish/North European buildings. Also, how prevalent were windmills? Any available in 6mm? Thanks!

I use these wooden buildings for all sorts of wargame purposes:

One thing I have noticed in my travels to Belgium, Netherlands, Northern France and Luxemburg is the use of bricks for buildings. Often painted and sometimes plastered over. The Tudor style (wooden beams) seem to be more prevellant in central and southern Europe/Germany.

Hope that helps. For my 10mm buildings, I use a mixture of N and Z scale along with cardstock ones. When in play, the footprints are what you see, not so much the height of doors and windows. A village looks nicer when you can put more buildings into the ville than using just 1-2 larger (and maybe more-to-scale) buildings. As long as the structure is taller than the figures, you should be fine, IMHO.

This would be a great question for the Schleswig-Holstein Wars group, PAR, if you do not mind asking there. I am certain some of the members are gaming the period in 10mm and may have some ideas for your building quest.

Nice village, Major. Are they available in the UK?

Look at the various Timecast ranges. They come in a variety of scales and periods. I imagine you'll find some that are appropriate.
